What each listing contains

Each trail listing contains the following:

  • Name & Description - the description may be longer or shorter depending on how much useful information is available
  • Directions - driving directions to horse-friendly parking places
  • Current Status Notes - information on trail closures or restrictions, if any.
  • Details - information on the length and surface of the trails, and who else you might expect to meet on them
  • Amenities - what extras you might find at the trailhead, and how many horse trailers can park at the parking spot
  • Jurisdiction & Links - who owns the land the trail is on, who maintains it, and links to any web pages with information on the trail. And most importantly, links to any online MAPS of the trails themselves.
  • History Notes - where appropriate, small notes on the history of the area or the trails
  • $ - a $ in the Trail List indicates that a fee is required to ride there, either a permit or some other fee, explained in the individual listings.
