We have the following volunteer opportunities.

Committee Name Chair Committee Description
Education Committee
Open
Distribute brochures and pamphlets to tack stores, bike shops, driver education classes, 4-H, etc. Present slide shows to horse clubs, city, county government, developers, etc. Setup photo education display and answer questions at fairs, trail conferences, etc. Organize lectures about equine care, issues, etc.
Publicity Committee
Open
Establish contacts with newspapers, radio, television stations to promote goals of KCEHC.
Membership Committee
Isabella Schober
Create membership directory every two years. Keep list of volunteers for specific tasks as identified on membership form. Maintain telephone tree.
Newsletter Committee
Kelly Boyd
Responsible for articles, printing and distribution of the newsletter. Request ideas/reports from each committee chair and area contact. Request and maintain exchange of newsletters from other horse clubs and organizations.
Trails Committee
Joan Fleming
Print and distribute Trails Guide to Tack Stores for purchase. Maintain an inventory of trails and trail contacts.
Equestrian Issues Committee
Judy Willman
Represent Equestrians at standing meetings. Keep track of City, County and State legislation that will affect trails and equestrian lifestyle.
Watchdog Committee
Ellie Moon
Receives notices of pending development from County. Attempts to determine whether or not these developments will impact trails.
